Damen Shipyards and Curacao Drydock sign agreement

WILLEMSTAD - Damen Shipyards takes over the operational activities of the Curaçao Dry Dock for the next 25 years.

The Curaçao Dokmaatschappij will sign a strategic agreement with the Dutch company from Gorinchem.
The 400 employees will be employed by Damen. Now that there will be an agreement, Damen can invest in the Dock facilities. In conjunction with the CDM Holding, Damen will invest 70 million guilders (around 40 million dollar) in the company. Damen is also going to invest in a training school, which provides education and training for employees.
